Goal Setting & Making Plans

For many, January is a time of looking forward and goal-setting and making plans. Fair enough.

For me, even though it has been several years since I was in school, September marks a new beginning, too. As we wind down these last weeks of August, for many of us Labor Day is a pause and then suddenly it will be a sprint until the Holidays.

Three or four-month plans and goals seem a lot more doable and manageable than creating then for a full year. Now might be a good time to get yourself outside, sit down, and think what you’d like to accomplish by the end of 2023. What impact would you like to have on which part of your life and/or work? How will you make that happen? They may be new goals, or refreshes of ones you are working on already.

Jot down ideas and concepts to start – you can “formalize” them Labor Day week. Whether for yourself or to share with your team, get them in writing. And then follow the path(s) you have created.
